actually pretty close. The car was actually higher in the air then it looks. One side of the lift still lifted the car up...but, would not go down at all.
So I had to put a jack ontop of a few tires to reach the yellow arms on the completely broken side and had a friend release some of the hydraulic fluid from the bleeder on the half broken side.
We slowly let out some of the fluid to get both sides even, then from there we both tried to match the same speed on the way down. stopping to remove tires from the side with the jack when it got low enough. PITA.
