so here I am, intrigued with Japanese nostalgic cars. With having a few s-chassis and still having 3 in my drive way. I thought to myself...its time to build something different. so I look upon my local drift group on face book and came across this gem. a 1986 300zx 2+0 turbo coupe. of course it has issues stated by owner.(see pic below) but that didn't stop me.

arranged a tow and had it towed from Gresham Oregon to Vancouver Washington. about a 20min to 30min drive. clean title. minor clear coat peeling. but overall body was clean and IT WAS RED! owner originally asking $1000.00 got it him down to $800.00 plus cost of tow.(~100.00) moved a few cars around and had it dropped in the driveway. where it sat for about a month. working 6 days a week roughly 60-72 hours is no joke. plus lack of time to work on my newly acquired project.

Seems like a deal. The seller was way off base on the n/a swap adding 40 hp, it adds very little, it's a function fo the amount of air moved by the turbo, same boostevel means same amount of air er cylinder which means the actual amount of power made is essentially the same, the spoolup feels way different. Actually feels less powerful. So yes the yield per volume is a touch more but without changing the volume the gain is very minimal, it's a common misconception. Looking forward to progress.

sorry for lack of updates, work has been really busy. anyways on to better news. I shouldn't say better but here goes.

finally had sometime to go through the motor.a few vacuum lines and set timing my @$$.(as the PO told me) founda bunch of issues. plenum not bolted down securely (can lift up on back of pkenum) connectors half way plugged. coo l ant lines not connected and the list goes on.

rather then deal with this mess. I set out to find a donor car. and it just so happens I did find one. a running and driving one lol. original 69k miles for $600. drove it from Portland to Vancouver with zero issues.story on car is, it was stolen and ended up at a tow yard. which then went to auction. anyways here she is.
