Hi all, I was a member of Nico 5 yrs ago. I gave up building car since then and just got a new project. What can I say? I can't stay away from building cars. this time around I decided that im going to start a build thread. If I could get ahold of my old Photobucket info I would link my old S13.5 but sadly I can't seem to recover those pix, so im going to start with my new car enjoy.

Thank you all for the warm welcome

Damn I wish I could recover the old pix. My last S13 started as a nice fast daily/track car. By the time I was done it was a Full stripped full track KA-T s13.5 that I drove in the street . It's easy to lose focus when you're car is getting faster and faster . I have to admit I liked the car alot more when it had full interior. This time around im going to try to stay focused on keeping it clean with A/C and lots of pwr and good suspension. I'm still getting my parts list together so I can start ordering things that I need.

Not sure im going to be taking this one to the track. I will however look for a second S chassis and that will def be a track car

HA! I'm soo friggin happy right now. I was able to rocover a few of the pix of my old S13.5 as I was buildng it :D Enjoy!

I'll give you guy's a quick run down of what was going on here. At this stage I decided that I didn't want to DD/weekend track car and instead went for the 100% track car that I DD.... Worst idea ever Mind you at the time this was my second car but my wife would DD the other car and my daughter was 3 at the time. I said f*** it, if anything every goes wrong with the wify's DD i'll just fix it, again not a good idea. But whatever I went ahead and stripped the inside, 100% gutted. I wanted the least weight as possible in the car so I also did away with a great working A/C. Some of may say so what? Yeah, I live in Miami FL avg 90 degree days and 80+ humidity . The only good thing about this car was.... it was hella fast for only 10psi.

Soon after I got her running things took a turn for the worst. Work go slow I mean really slow. My Iron workers Union stopped send people out to work. At that point I decided, it's time to get my priorties str8 and I parted the whole this out and junked the shell.

I'm going to try to list what I had on the car before I gpt rid of it. Way too much stuff so I may miss alot but whatever.

S15 front I got a crazy deal on it $600 Custom turbo kit, I got everything little by littleB&M short s***fterGreddy weighted shift knob (god this thig would get so hot in the summer )Tananbe sustec front and rear sway barsTananbe front under braceTanabe front and rear strut barsCusco suspensionKoyo radiatorFAL FansOdysee 11.5 pound batteryACT 6puck sprung clutch with heavy duty PPj30 VLSDTein tension rodsAromotive FPRAcura TL HID's

I know I had more but can't remember, 5 yrs is a long time lol

These are all the pix I have been able to recover. I'll keep trying to find the pix of the car when it was 100% running.

So I took a small break from working on my car since my last post. I been way too busy with work and spending time with my wife and daughter. I have been doing alittle here and and there so I decided to update. At this stage of my build I have been addressing issues that the car has been having with cooling and other reliabilty/entertainment problems

First things first, my radio was pure fail. Nothing worked and it would shut off for no reason.
Image

I upgraded to a Kenwood KVT-815. I'm not really a TV kind of guy but I got a deal that was way too good to pass up. I have to admit, I love the touch screen.

To start addressing my cooling issues I got a Koyo Radiator w/Greddy Rad cap which I love. Please mind the ugly, nasty, dirty bay.

This was about 2months ago....

Just this week I got

Samco Hoses ( one of my stock hoses blew)
Greddy pullys
Circuit Sports Overflow ( My old one had a huge hole and didn't hold water anymore)
Sard FPR w/black braided hoses
Tein Tension Rods
Blitz DD BOV
Flex-a-lite fans

For some reason my stupid computer is not letting me load pix of the parts I got this week. I'll keep trying and add them to the thread asap.

Thanks for watching

lol seems im talking to myself on here. Oh well a small update. I installed my Ciruit sports Overflow to replace my cracked stock one. I have to say this is a beautifuly well made part. it's almost a shame to hide it in my bay lol! I also installed 2 of 3 greddy pullyes, Pwr steering and water pump. I'll explain alil later why I didn't install the Alt one yet. I installed my Blitz DD BOV which I love. I installed my Samco hoses to replace the old wornout stock hoses. I installed my flex-a-lite fans and this is the reason why I didn't install the Alt Greddy pully. After I installed the fans my E-brake and battery light stay on. I bought an interstate 10 pound battery thinking my battery was the problem not a big deal I paid $20 for it and it was only used for 2 weeks. It didn't fix it, I checked all the wiring and everything was still hooked up right. Lastly I checked the Alt checked at Auto Zone and my Alt is in perfect condition.

Here is a pic I was able to upload to my comp. The bay looks like crap, I will get it in order soon.

This pic is before I installed the battery and FPR.

The car has been running fine even though my dash says my battery is not being charged. I'm going to install the pulley this weekend. I have to replace a broken hose under my intake mani :ohno: I also have to fix a oil leak thats coming from my timing chain cover :spitout:. Both of these things are going to suck since we are avg 93 degrees and 95% humidity. :(

To be honest the wife has been my biggest cheerleader this time around :chuckle:. The whole S15 front swap cost me $600 including Acura TL HID's. I still hate that I sold it :(. I'm 80% sure that im going with another S15 front but I'm going to stick with the OEM bumper. I like how clean it looks when done right  I'm planning on going with a Greddy FMIC in the future. To be honest it's not high on to do list as of now since the T25 @10psi is more then enough for the stock SMIC to handle. When i upgrade my Turbo I will def get a FMIC first.

Hi Nico, long time no update. Well I figured i would update a few things that I have done to the car in the past few months since in the next few weeks I will be updating alot more then I have in the past.

I just got an ARC Super Induction Intake for "Strawberry" and was extremely excited to install it.
Image

Only problem is....
Image

It wouldn't fit no matter what I tried. After fighting with it I figured out that I need to run a FMIC in order to clear all the crap in the bay. So I guess I'm getting my FMIC well before I go with a bigger turbo. It should look like this after I'm done
Image

I also got these Cusco Front and rear strut bars. I love these things. Sorry for the dirty car, I have to clean her up this week.

I also went on ahead and installed my Sard FPR during the summer
Image

This is a pic I took of the bay a week ago. You can see my new 11lbs Interstate Mini battery which is awesome.
Image

In the next few weeks I plan to get:
HKS 264 step 2 cams
Aluminum Driveshaft
Exedy Twin plate clutch ( I love the aggressive feel of it as well as the response)
Carbonetic Carbon LSD
FMIC
Custom Coilpack cover
Splitfire Coils
Braided Clutch line
Nismo Clave unit

As well as fixing a fuel leak that I'm getting from my fuel return line on the gas tank  There will be alot more to come so stay tuned.
