Looks pretty complete man. Can't complain about the price either!

If you need any help bro, post it up. There are a few of us KA-T guys left in here that can help you out. Not alot of excitement has been going on in here. So I know I'll be the first one to hop on and try and help you out if need be.

Good luck, and happy building!

thanks man.. ive been surfn threw the ka-t forum and noticed not alot of traffic. i have a question. if i just replace everthign with new oem parts i should be able to get about 350hp without any problems right. i mean i knwo theres guys out there with alot of hp with stock blocks and stock internals but i dont wanna spend alot of money for no reson like gettin forged internals and only lookign to get about 350-400hp. if u know a good set up plz let me know. like i said this is my first build that im going ot be doing. and i know i have to search which i have been doing so.. ok this is wat i was thinkin lmk if it sounds good

port and polish headhot tank blockreplace all gasketsremove some egr stuffreplace pistons and rods with new oem partsarp studs3 angle valve jobpowder coat valve cover and intake manibalance crank

and for boost

T3/T04E 550cc Injectorsprobably reflash my ecu z32 maf

hopefully that should get me about 350ish hp and a 12sec timeslip. so wat do u guys think im i going down the right path or i missed the turn

-You definitely want to replace your oil pump, and timing chain stuff. For Sure.-I would reuse your OEM Rods. Maybe have them checked for roundness and have them cryotreated or something along those lines. But for the price, you can get Eagle Rods for less than 300$ now I think.-And you do NOT want to use OEM pistons!!! Replace those with any of the forged type. I would say with 8.5-9.0 compression ratio. OEM Ringlands like to break.-The head doesn't really need all that much attention. Maybe get some of the V2 cams later on. Unless you want 500+ HP. Gasket match the ports, that's good for efficiency. And the valve job isn't a bad idea. I only lapped mine in after 180k miles.-Head Gasket - You should get a nice OEM Nissan one. I hear lots of people saying the OEM one can hold alot. Especially with ARP hardware. Or grab a cometic and research some methods of installation. I've heard good and bad about them. I personally, haven't had any problems as of yet.-Powder coating the valve cover and intake are a personal preference. That's up to you.-Balance the crank along with the front pully, and flywheel as one. Works much better in the long run. Rods and pistons don't 'really' need to be done with the crank, but can be if wanted. I4 motors are pretty much opposed, so thats preference again.-And go with an Enthalpy ECU. Probably one of the best tunes around for plug-and-play.

I probably missed alot, but it should point you in the right direction. Just keep reading, and you'll find alot of information. You are headed in the right direction. And if you need anything, just ask!

well let me chime in and say(which im sure youve heard before), build it ONCE!!! That means, you may be shooting for a moderate hp at the moment but once you get that thing running and get comfy with the power....youll want more, believe me!...or as soon as you think your car is fast and you get pulled by that raggedy civic......youll want to turn up the boost. Dont take the route that I did.....shoot for low hp, build it to stock(minor upgrades), turn up the boost, blow it up, spend double because now I have to build it right! it may take a little more time but do it right the first time and you will be very happy. believe me, as soon and you start boosting, things will break; weakest link, by weakest link until you have replaced EVERYTHING with quality parts. some may say diff, but I have wasted money in this fashion so im just giving input based on my personal experience. Now, the abOve being stated, it is not an advertisement for myself but, I do have a set of ka24e pistons (ross forged, 8.5:1) that I am willing to sale if you want them. I promise a great deal; cant do n e thing with them since i have a de. email me if you are interested [email protected]. HAPPY BOOSTING!!!!!

dont forget the altima e-fans. Get rid of that ungodly fan clutch and crap. Get your exhaust done on the car too. 3" would suffice.

Is it just me or when cruizing at 2k.......... it sounds kinda like a subby.

I can't comment on your last question, but it's looking good man! Keep it up!I'm not sure about the cams. Colt is supposed to be good for the single cam motor, but that's only what I've heard so far. Search around the site for stuff. I'm sure someone has used them at one point. But keep up the good work. It's a learning experience, that's for sure. Don't get discouraged. And make sure you take your time.Measure twice, cut once. Principle applies to many things...

Hey broski,

Just got around to reading your post, looking good on the project.

But let me tell you ACE is right. Build this mother ONCE and good, you can pick up a rebuild kit from AMS for the SOHC for under 1500, and that includes all brand new timing components, gaskets, forged rods, and pistons.

For that price there is no way you can go wrong.

Other then that it's all looking good bro, your making good progress pretty quickly don't let it slow down ...

thanks guys.. i was just on there site lookin at the rods and never saw the rebuild kit haha.. that kit is perfect im going to be looking into that very soon. yea im takin my time slowly but surely this is my first build so i wanna research alot of things and make sure i do it right first time.. dont wanna spend all this time and money on building it and cut one corner and then wehn i go to start motor it blows up cuz i didnt replace somethign simple. hopefully this week ill have time to take pistons out and check the walls.
