Okay so im starting to plan out how i want my engine to be set up in about 1 or so, once i get better at drifting. My main plans for the car will be Drifting, and Tracking.

go for about 350-400whp for the most part... and maybe a high tune of 500whp for some highway fun, but idk, b/c for the most part i want the bottom end stock, maybe change the pistons.

Research research research. I can't stress that enough. While 350 is doable on the stock bottom end, you'll run into issues at 500.

Good plans, but expect them to always change. Mine did.

tial 38mm wastegate would be fine with that set up. I would start worrying about the bottom end at the 400 hp mark thou.

Your setup, planned usage, and power goals are all in conflict. Why go with a big lazy 30R housing for only 350-400whp? GT2871R will be far better for drifting and the street at that range. The Tomei cams at 270 will also hurt low end hp/tq where drifting needs it the most. Other than those qualms the setup is ok I guess. Just keep us updated.

the 270 cams and gt 30 turbo will work good together for high hp but no lowend that you will need for drifting...i would build the bottem end if you plan on going over 375 hp..if you wanna stick with the stock bottem end do 262 cams and the gt2871r turbo tuned for 375hp

That sounds like a good set up to me but i think you should still put better bottom end parts you don't have to bore it out or anything like that, keep it stock specs. That is kind of what i'm planing to. all my work or most of it is going to be in the heads.
