Indeed I will, as soon as he does though. which i hope is soon, i never knew HR's could put out to nearly 500hp with hardly anything done internally. I might want to TT the good ol' zee soon too. I'll be happy happy with 350whp.

I have the same turbo kit also with the GT28RS turbo's for the DE motor.

Respect to your friend for installing this kit with the motor in the car. I took my motor out to install the kit. I couldn't imagine doing it in the car. I also used a lift. Doing it on jackstands msut have sucked!

My car is in Riviera Beach right now getting tuned.

what engine managment systems do you guys use that requires you to send the car off for tuning? I think I'd select a system a bit mroe user friendly

The best engine managment out there for the Z besides a $7000 MOTEC is the HKS F-CON. HKS locks their ECU. HKS dealers are the only one with the key.

I used to run the UTEC, but it isn't a perfect solution especially if you are making more than 500whp. The idle with the UTEC is horrible. The resolution is poor and has to interpolate temperature.

The FCON is much more capable and is a stand alone and removes the OEM computer from all ignition and fuel control. The UTEC only switches on after it senses boost.

I believe the person you are talking about JTrain was tuned at Japtrix by Roger C. who has since left and has started Horespower Logic. I have no issues with the new Japtrix tuning my car. I am close to Sam @ GT Motorsports and he is recomending the new Japtrix. Sam wouldn't recomend them to me if they weren't the best.

In addition the new japtrix is an HKS dealer and tuner. If something goes wrong there is only one person to blame. I'm not worried.

yeah I thought the utec was a piggyback, and I'm no fan of piggybacks, I know the Z33 is drive by wire and has variable valve timing but otherwise it's the same as any engine, and the variable valve timing is an easy work around with a window switch, I know greedy has a system compatible with the VQ, but any system with wideband capable and has datalogging makes for quick and easy fuel tuning, timing requires a dyno to get perfect but once the fuel is done it doesn't take much dyno time to get the timing worked out, me I <3 megasquirt but as far as I knwo no one has written code for drive by wire, but it's open source code so it's only a matter of time

The kit is sexy man. Need to get some vids up so we can hear it now. Seeing is ok but the sound is ten times better!
