look man, not tryin to be mean but the last car u should be braggin about beatin is a civic, they are SLOW, now i could see if the civic beat yur bros Z, then that would be different, or at least somethin to talk about, just figured i tell u before the post goes any farther, u still have time to reply and say that you meant it was an NSX that your brother beat instead of a civic, right, go for it....

If your brother ate a Civic, he must have a huge stomachache.

Sometimes you should believe those license plates. Several years ago my buddy's Golf GTI (I/H/E and loads of suspension and handling mods) got SMOKED by a Dodge Shadow ES. The car was completely stock looking except for a small Shelby sticker on the rear window, and a license plate that read, "YUD LUZ". He was absolutely right. He didn't just beat us by a reasonable margin.... he absolutely decimated us. I would bet this black Shadow would do a 1/4 mile in high 10's low 11's..... sick pseudo-sleeper with a taunting plate!

No doubt maineimport those turbo 2.5l chrysler engines are insane stock they have like 225 hp they can run 14's push some more boost and those things can fly. never got to test my daytona at the track but with the heavier V6 I took out a mr2 N/A and a 91 prelude SR no problem I would say very low 15's or high 14's for the V6 those things are so light too but throw in some twisty's and the 240 would kick its a$$. I still can't believe my daytona had a solid rear axle camaro style with no differential!!! So low tech.

Maybe the civic wasn't racing.

Some civics are FAST, if done right.

i think it depends on the color and model of it. for a dx i think white wine, unless its black in which case it's red wine

Those Shelby GLH's Cna cook thay have VNT's, Variable Nozzle Turbos. They have vertually no turbo lag, i know a guy that has one, it is the sleeper abomg sleepers.....Wait, maybe its the Omni's that are GLH's (it literally stands for Goes Like Hell). So between that car and the Dodge Daytona IROC R/T from canada that he has (only 5 exist, something like 245 were made, 5 to canada) this kid has the most killer cars.

I know the Omni GLH turbo existed. This was definately a Shadow ES turbo..... and Shelby has loads of product support for those cars... this guy obviously took advantage of that.

I'm not really sure what you mean... was that a line from the movie? I'm pretty sure there was no Shadow ES turbo in the movie... I'm lost

And I've been using the word "decimated" since maybe 7th or 8th grade.

The fact that you associate one word that Maine says with a movie means that you in fact have been watching too much fast and furious...

I loved my turbo Z31....my 1,500 dollar car with an air filter whooped on my friends 24k GS-R...haha. After he drove it he was like "you wanna switch".

wow, this post has been revived from the dead...

On the way to CES in vegas last week I had a run in with a blue Civic SI. I don't know what year it was exactly, but somewhere from 1997-2000 models. Anyways, I had a passenger and my trunk loaded with baggage and full tank of gas. This civic passes by me on the 10E in the Monterey Park in the next lane. I thought I'd give him the benefit and only shifted down to 4th going about 50 until we lined up and we both gun it. I brought it up to about 80 in fourth and I was slightly ahead of him with his bumper being right at my side mirror. By this time, I could hear his engine moaning like a $2 prostitute louder over my engine. Anyways, I had to shut it down because a van changed into my lane. Meanwhile, he kept going and then turned on his flashers for about 5 minutes, haha. Whole race lasted for about 10 seconds or so.

We then drove by each other and I tried to get him to go on to the 15N so I take him through the Cajon pass, but he left before I got to the 15.

I was pretty impressed by that Civic SI. :)

THEN on the way to vegas on the 15, I ran into a 200SX. Stock looking except for black rims and an exhaust. I was following my friend and we were going about 90. I passed him and I guess he took that as bait so he changed lanes and caught up to me. I looked over and we both gun it. I pulled on him about a car length for about 2 seconds then he just shot forward like if I was standing still.

I would've loved a civic SI, seriously any honda that isn't a dohc vtec is pretty much worthless. Whenever I get my 240sx going with an SR20, I'm gonna start saving up for an H22A conversion for my civic. Just because its my daily driver doesn't mean it has to be slow.

Who cares? Leave the racing on the track. We don't want to hear about your careless racing on the street.

Wow thats funny because I'm sure even less people want to hear you preaching about "careless racing on the street".

Do us a favor and race on the street. And when you do, make sure to point the the center of your hood at an oncoming streetlamp and make sure no one but yourself is in or around the car. Thanks. Have a nice day.

The world's average IQ just went up.

Nick.
