hey guys

i was experiancing boost leak like crazy. i checked the vac hoses and they were good. the piping was good as well. oh yeah i have a stock smic. so i jack up the car to take a look at the intercooler. i found that my stock bov has a huge crack at the bottom of that little elbow pipe. now i've been trying to find a stock bov to replace but no one has a stock bov. i think i might have to go aftermarket which i really don't want to do. i live in oc, ca and i want less attention from the cops as much as possible. do you guys have any suggestions? i really need your help. my car has been down for about a week already.

Just go aftermarket and recirculate it, it will be quiet enough.

okay here is the deal, i'm most likely going to go with the hks ssqv bov kit. now what do i do with my stock bov since it's broken.

THIS IS THE BOTTOM VIEW OF THE STOCK BOVThis is the reason why i'm having horrible boost leak!

THIS IS THE SIDE VIEW OF THE STOCK BOV

Now I want to know, if i remove this stock bov. what will i do with these two things. do i just get one long hose and attached them together?

YELLOW CIRCLE IS REFERING TO THE HOSE BEHIND/ATTACHED TO BOV

why don't you just repair that, that isnt even damage to the BOV but just the flange. JB cold weld would hold that crack eisily or bring it to a mechine shop and get it TIG welded. Thats the cheaper route.

If you go aftermarket, drive like a normal human being should on public roads and they wont hear your blowoff.

go with a greddy type rs and recirculate it. Itll be quiet and you still get a little chirp that sounds cool.

okay you three knuckle heads talked me into it, that and my mom said she wanted me to buy new instead of used... (mama's boy has some benefits) now what do i do to cover this up with? because i plan on getting a hot pipe and recirculating it. i'm talking about the intercooler outlet. people tell me to plug it up but with what? should i use that plastic cover from one of those 5" monster tachs and wrap it around with a lot of duct tape?
