I did a search and was not sure which way to go to fix this. My blower died then worked then died permanently. No speed works at all .. though I do hear the relays clicking. Thanks for the help all!

HVAC motor?

Search on darlington in the post bodies. You will probably have to R&R your blower moter also.

1 search result vague one from earlier; I think I have a bad motor cause it worked again so it must have a dead spot.

silverQ,

I agree that it's probably the motor. It might be worth your while to pull it apart and see if the brushes are badly worn. My mom's 88 Maxima had this issue, and the brushes were extended out enough that they would c*** sideways at an angle just enough to touch two plates of the commutator at the same time. In that case it would blow a fuse though...

I would pull the motor apart and clean it with electric contact cleaner to make sure there's not some sort of gunk in there causing your problems. Of course, the most sure-fire way to fix it is just to order a new one from Joe and swap it out. Depends on your budget and time constraints.

Here's a good link to the terminology and a diagram that will give you an idea...

I took my blower motor apart and it was NASTY inside. Shot it with some eletrical parts cleaner, let it dry out, lubed it up good and put it back in. Its easy enough to get out that its worth a shot IMO before you buy a new one.
