My Best 0-60 Run -- 2008 EX35 AWD 5 speed AT

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I finally got a chance to run my EX this morning in a 48 degree F weather again. My best run was in 2013 with 0-60 MPH of 6.30 secs flat. The timer is very accurate, since the Uprev/cipher program (laptop) is connected to my OBD2 port under the dash during the performance log.

As you all know, my car is Uprev tuned using an Etune. (Road dyno). After tweaking my Throttle Map settings for 20x and close to a year now and also added 20-28 newton meter of torque to the AT line pressure (Torque Management). Here is my best 0-60 run on my close to 4K pounds EX35 AWD on DS MODE with 2.3K RPM torque braking :naughty: (Still has the jack and spare tire with this time)

It is all about the smooth launching... Too high of an RPM on torque braking causes the car to slightly bogged down and I could feel it's not pulling hard. Even though it bogs down , it is still getting a consistent 6.4x secs 0-60. Torque braking at 2.3- 2.4 k RPM seems pretty consistent of better pull on initial take off.

Here is the proof. The first 2 logs where at 2.3-2.4 K RPM brake torque launch. Pretty smooth since it is only at low RPM, unlike some subarus with turbo need 5k RPM torque braking to get the Magazine number of 4.9 secs 0-60 MPH.
The 3rd and 4th logs were at higher RPM torque braking ((2.7-2.9 K RPM) and did bog down on initial take off ! Still a consistent 6.4X secs. 0-60 even it bogged down.. :rotfl

I just found out that you only have 3-5 secs window to break torque the car. If you break torque early and waited more than 5 secs, the ECU will cut power to prevent damage to the torque converter. This is the reason I felt it bogged down during the initial take off... 2K RPM break torque is pretty low and safe. Just break torque no more than 3 secs and you'll feel the power off the line when you release the break and hit the gas!
