yesterday i was listening to a cd for about 25 minutes and all of a sudden the power cut off. i then turned it back on but then shut off again in 2 minutes. this morning 9:40am my car won't start up, its getting a spark but nothings happening. and i just purchased a new battery over the winter.

if car was off when you listened to CD, then you most likely just drained your battery - depending on how good the battery is, you may be able to just charge it back & then run it.
if car was on (i.e. engine running) when you listened to the CD, then it's what xekushnr said - you most likely have a bad alternator or bad connection from alternator -> battery.

Ive had that happen and it was just the battery... But same as the alternator. I would assume (unless you used the battery when the car was off ALOT) its the alternator. Several shops (even wal-mart do free battery checks). Try calling around. Good luck

bad batt, no batt should die after only 25 mins of batt power. find your nearest batteries plus and get yourself a yellowtop optima. anything deep cycle will do great for anything that requires power while the car is off aka sound system, tv, ect...just make sure its not dual purpose, that is the s*** of the battery world. any other Q's dont b afraid to ask

Get the battery tested before you go out and spend the money on a new one... ITS FREE! If you assume it's just the battery and you just bought it a couple months ago you're wastin cash.
