Got some work done on Maybelline today. I brought the old girl in to work today and did the tension rod bushings, steering rack, and outer TRE's. Filled her P/S up with Amsoil ATF and aligned her - WOW! What a difference! Next step is Tokicos...

Here are some pics of the old bushings. I really should have taken a couple shots while they were still on the car. They were nearly fully separated!

How old is the PS fluid? Even turkey baster method better than adding new fluid to old.

Well, the rack's end seals were blown out, so I was basically performing a perpetual P/S flush. When I swapped out the rack, I cycled the new rack back and forth several times to pump out the test fluid they always come filled with and allowed the reservoir and pump to drain via the pressure and return lines. After installation and verifying all fittings were tight I filled the system with Amsoil ATF. It took just shy of a quart.
