Hooray... Fixed my speedo finally
Just to share my joy.
My car has been sitting 300 miles away from me where it lies after having lent my car to my friend.:rolleyes Long story, but soon after she got it there, my speedo stopped working.
Catch this, my friend took it to her local Nissan dealership and was told that it was a broken cluster, but he could not fix it, because Nissan does not make them anymore. Anyway, taking his word for it, I ordered a second hand cluster online and my friend took my car to another shop. He tried replacing the new cluster and the speed sensor, but neither worked.
Resulting from doing a search here on NICO, I told him to check the connecting harness line and bingo!!... broken line.
With various travels issues, my car has been away from me for about 2 months, but it will be back on Wednesday.
I have presents waiting for her like a new S15 helical LSD (with output shafts), new skyline GTS-t Seats - to be reupholstered and if things go well, I might even get her Suspension technicques Sway bars and a NISMO power brace.
You gotta show love.:pface
