My AWD RB25DET pics

Here's the engine I recieved from the guy on ebay.

I should be getting the GTST transmission for it soon.

This engine is a 96 AWD RB25DET auto.. which will be converted to RWD. It's a very clean engine though that's for sure.

I didnt know they made AWD rb25det's. just curious on the year and model that it came in.

I too am curious about this engine. According to both Meggala's site and skylinesdownunder.com, the only R33s that had 4WD were the GTR and the GTS-4. The GTS-4 came with the RB25DE engine though, not the DET. The RB25DET only came in the GTS25t, which was RWD.

I'm still pretty curious to know exactly which model this car came from, since there was no R33 GTS-T :pface

After looking at your photo album, you definitely have a weird oil pan If this is an RB25DET and it was AWD then I wonder if it was a RB25DE converted to a DET, or if the sites that list different skylines models just somehow left it out.

I got my motor from a 1996 R33 GTS-T Type M. It was a RWD auto that I was given another transmission for. I had a buddy in Japan run the VIN over there and thats what he came up with. The Stagea was AWD. Yours came from that I believe. The Skyline GT-R and GTS-4 were the only AWD Skylines.

Jon is right.. it's from a Stagea. No R33 GTS-4's..

Yep its a stagea. They also came with the RB26DETT. My friend onwed one. Talk about a badass wagon.
