I bought a car, nissan 240sx, american one, and the car stayed more than one year in garage. When i drowe it with the owner, he was surprised(like me) to find out that the automatic gear box ghanges only after 5.000 rpm. Anyway I bought the car and now i am trying to solve the problem. Thanx for help.

Thanx, man ! I will try to follow the advises with Transmedic and Dextron III and i hope it will work. Anyway, i think that could be a problem with the TPS or the speed sensor, too. When I'll figure out the problem I'll let you now.

Another thing : where can I buy some cheap used parts of my nissan 240sx, like blinker, external mirror and front glass ?

Tschüß !

we have a classifeids forum here you can probably buy parts from guys, But if you are located in europe it would probably be drastically cheaper to go to a wreaking yard. Reason is most of the NICO members are in the US,getting it shipped and through customs would likely exceed buying the part brand new at a dealer where your at.

Yea, tha's logical what you said. I wonder if the parts (except the back) of the nissan 200 fits to the nissan 240, because 240 is very rarely car here in Deutschland, but 200 there are a lot. What you say ?

The 240 and silvia/200 are the same model designation there are subtle differences and the fact its R/H dive verses L/H

What means ''R/H dive verses L/H'' ? For example a windschield from a 200 will fit to a 240 like mine ?

misspelling its suppose to read R/H drive verses L/H drive. Which side the steering wheel is. if its on the left or right side of the car.Your 240 is L/H drive. Most silvia's are R/H drive. The windshield should be the same.

OK, man !I got you. Another question pls. : on my Nissan's odometer it's written 158.000, but I don_'t know what - km(s) or miles ? The car is an american one made in Smyrna-Tennessee I guess, and I have a select knob that switches between MPH and km/h. As long as the car was going only on America, i gues that the 158.000 are miles. Am I wrong or those can be kilometers ?Tschüß !

your car was made in japan. All 240's were. When you push your switch and it changes the higher number represents Km/h The lower number would be miles.

Can you tell me if my Nissan has a catalizator or not. And if yes, what is it : euro 1 or euro 2 ? Here is a pic.
