My auto transmission stopped pulling

I was driving down the road one night and my transmission just stopped pulling. I was pulling off of the interstate, and stopped at a stoplight. When the light turned green I pressed the gas and the car was stuck in neutral. It will not pull in any gear not even reverse. I pulled the pan and there is no burnt smell. Can anyone help with this problem?? Thanks

that happend to me once when i did a 2nd gear burnout in my truck. turns out i broke my rear end.

i personally have seen stock engines and a little abuse cause the flywheel to actually break. can you feel the transmission going into park, reverse or neutral or hell even hear it ?
