This is my audio build, it's my first one on a 240sx lmk what you think..

My friend and I started an audio company called signature

We've done a few installs, but now I'm concentrating on my car

that pic is old I've since then added kts coilovers and rucas

I'm doing a complete clarion setup except for the hu which is an eclipse

I had made custom door panels but since this is my daily I'm going for something a LOT more subtle(duramix ROCKS!!!!)

anyhoo I picked up a new interior off of a friend with a totaled s13, but before i put it in I dynomatted the roof and used liquid sound deadner on the floor

I had a set of xtc speaker baffles laying around, that I used on the 6.5's that i'm using in the front door

I'm also running 6x9's in the rear side panels, right here in this square

I cut out the center part of the arm rest and covered it in cloth

right now I'm waiting on the baffles for the 6x9's to come inI'm also running one clarion 10" sub it's all getting pushed by 2 clarion ampshopefully (weather and money permitting) i'lll be done in a couple of weeks

lmk what you think....

Looking good. May I suggest removing a portion of the foam baffles? I have those two, but the speaker sounded horrible esp. in the midrange and mid-bass. I found others using the foam with similiar problems. I took the speakers back out and trimmed the foam. I removed most of the back and the sides of the foam, except for up top. I left a "cover" of sorts, kinda like a porch awning to protect the back of the speaker from water dripping past the window weatherstripping. Now the speakers sound much better.

I was wondering about that, most components are designed to be free air, but I was hoping that the baffles would make the mids pop, I got the 6x9 baffles in today, and I SHOULD be installing next week, maybe this weekend, I'll see what I come up with...

1st off i'd like to state thatMY CAR IS REALLY DIRTY!!!!!now that that's out of the way.....

I'm really pleased with the eclipse, the sound reproduction is really acurate

what's funny is the dash and the door match when you see it in person, but every pic the dash looks way off, well i plan on either wrapping the dash in black vinyl, or getting a dash cover, it's my dd so i'm leaning towards dash cover

I recovered the headliner in the same material that i did the side panels in but with the flash from the camera it washes out grey

for the amps I want to build an amp rack on the back of the back seat, but i need a deck lid to get my clearances right(picking one up friday), so for now the rest on the false floor I made,

I wanted to sink mount the sub in the wheel well but the acoustics of the rear facing setup are REALLY great... besides when the amps are moved and the box gets some more body work and paint it'll look great, but the deck lid will protect it from potential on lookers

lmk what you think

and yes I know... I need to invest in some armor all... like right now....

their behind the rear panels (where the portion that's covered with cloth is) at the time of the install my camera decided to go on vacationI'm planning on redoing the panels (you can see a little bit of the grill pattern on the cloth) soon so I'll post pics of how I made the mount for the 6x9's
