I have a 95 240sx se and my airbag light keeps flashing. I have no rip in the steering wheel. Is it wire problems or what? I am in need of assistance.

My dad had that same problem in a Hyundai Sonata 06. There was something wrong with the passenger seat wiring. lol. Kinda weird but by moving around the wires and the seat, we got it to turn off. Maybe its different in ur case, but just throwing that in here. Good Luck

Ya sorry but s14's do not have occupancy sensors in the seats so, thanks for the useless info about your fathers 06 hyundai, but this wouldnt apply here or be at all helpful. Thanks for your wonderful insight though. BTW, I am NICO's ball buster, dont get offended.

Test the airbags by hooking them up directly to your battery.

Thats the only way to know for sure if they work.

At this point I would suggest seeing your local dealer and sucking it up and paying the diagnostic fee and find out without a doubt why it is flashing. How could we begin to know why your airbag light is flashing.

Have you messed with your steering rack lately, like replaced the bushings or anything? Has you steering wheels been turned excessively? The reason I ask is that your clock spring may have snapped somehow.

Alternator.

When my ground came loose on my alternator, my air bag light was the first thing to start acting up. Checks your grounds, and get it tested.

airbags are supposed to work with seatbelts.

Yeah, cancel a safety feature of a 15+ year old car and don't worry about it. You should be safe.
