I wish Night was as easy to talk to about situations as Daunt. You guys were complaining a little about him not posting after like 3 hours, try waiting a week and a half and not seeing any post, email, or phone call.

Here's a little read for you on my story about Night. It's and RB engine, but same principle. Things are looking up right now though.

I really have no business in this thread, but I'll offer my opinion on the situation anyway. :pface

For those of you who are saying that this was just an accident and accidents happen, fine, but how would you react if this happened to you? You probabaly won't be able to imagine how furious you would be until something like this happens to you personally. "things are hectic" is not a good excuse. The guy called just one day before and got screwed the next day.

I for one feel that lok should be compensated (with money) for his time and gas spent on a 1400 mile bogus trip.

I would feel terrible to send someone home on such a long trip knowing that he had to pay out of his own pocket, when I had just finished screwing him. Asking the guy to waste more money and come back the next weekend is just simply retarded.

Dauntt is a cool guy to do business with. I was there before. He wont let you go making you feel like you have just been screwed with no lube.

I have place my order with HT and already sent my money in so hopefully I can get everything back on track and be done by the end of this summer. As far as compensation goes, I have not asked for any and do not entend to do so. I would just like to put the whole ordeal behind me and move forward. My friend and I are of to a good start we removed the transmission in about an hour and half without spilling any fluids. This will be my second transmission and his third. Drained all the necessary fluids and are ready to start unplugging sensors and remove the engine. I am doing alot of research on what needs to be salvaged from the old ka24e before trying to sell it or get something for it from the salvage yard. Well thanks for all the support and wish me luck because this will be my first engine "A" into car "B".

Thanks,

lok

IF Adam is willing to and WILL compensate for Lok's trouble, I am sure he would do so willingly, without Lok asking. Though, from the look of things, an appology and an explanation is all he got. From Lok's last post, it seems like Adam hasn't been willing to compensate, forcing Lok to leave his ordeal behind and move on.

That is just my observation.

I have never met adam yet but plan to in the next couple weeks, i have talked to him several times and he seems like a nice guy with alot of bad luck.

I do feel sorry tho for Lok and someone we all are forgetting, lok's friend. A guy not even in for anything but to be a good friend had to ride in a friggin car for 23 hours. Adam should and most likely will compensate for loks trouble and i hope he will have better luck with his business in the future. Lok also had to log another 1400 miles the the odo. which no one likes to do, this long of trip on a old car like this one is risky anytime to.

Good luck lok and please post how your deal goes with heavy throttle so us future swappers have more ideas on where to get our engines.

Good luck again

Well today we went ahead and removed the engine only took us an hour and a half. Not bad IMO, and everything looks ok, for a 13 year old car. Looks like the dual electric fans are going to fit, althought I am debating on whether or not to use my friends DSM radiator since it is a whole lot thicker. I think I am going to get NISMO mounts, but mine are in really good shape but are not as stiff as I think they could be. The wireing harness was really simple compared to my friends civic, and his eclipse. Oh well I am glad to be doing the swap my self because like it was stated before no one is going to do the jpb as well as you would your self.
