yep 1/8mile track ( yellow belly in grand prarie, tx)i have no scanner for the slip, but

the run vs. the g35 i ran 8.92 at 82mph and the g35 came in 9.87 at 77mph. reaction times were within .100 even though i looked like i got a huge jump i was the one doing the spinning. my only mods are injen intake and a quality track driver (me).

Comes down to driver. The 07 G35 Coupe (assuming that's an 07) has a 5.5 0-60 and the AC has a 5.7 0-60.

That is a real good 1/8 mile time! You would beat me too.... I'm putting down 9.0 and 9.1 1/8ths at 78-79 mph in Phx DA. What is your DA for the run? I know some parts of Texas have great air!

Front drive makes a great track car if you can muscle the torque steer off the line which it looks like you can

The Altima Coupe boasts really good power to weight ratios. It's really only crippled by the inherent off the line traction issues of being FWD. I'd suspect you could give a Z a good run in a straight line. Bear in mind, with the new SAE HP measurement standards, you're closer matched in HP to the G35's than the figures let on.

That said, you should realize that you raced an Automatic G35. All of which came with the lower 280 HP motor. Not trying to rain on your parade here though. Just that I wouldn't expect such an outcome against every G you might race...

good vid. but not great. how about running a stock G vs a stock a/c. unlike the vid posted with is a stock G vs a turbo a/c. if you look at the other vids he posted. he beat a mustang gt, but in that one the fird missed a shift and dropped out right after, but he list it as a big kill cause he bet a v-8. sounds like more like coming in here and posting how much better his a/c is that the infiniti. im glad you spent all that money on your altima, it just sucks my g still has a higher resale value stock than yours modded.

generalizations dont work in racing, always somebody faster. Either more mod money or skillz. I personally like the hat turned around backerdz for more aerodynamic speed!!! I agree with G that it was a fair post. Nissan/Infiniti, we're all one big family here.

bad driver IMO... i smoke altimas everytime they try me... but im not altima bashing cause if i had never drove the altima i wouldnt be driving a G35... they are fast cars crippled by FWD.

Great snipe though cause i know he'll be scratching his head after losing that race...

Wow the bumped old thread brought a lot of anger.

How many aren't realizing its boosted Altima vs stock G?

I realized that it was boosted. But I'm not sure why you'd come on an Infiniti forum sharing stories about how you beat them. Not the best way to make friends. Anyway, props on a fast car, but I need to my cars to be RWD so they have some balance and cornering prowess in addition to their straight line capabilities.

Not to hate, but...

I actually feel like my G is lacking in the attributes you have noted.

You have a 6mt G35, so what do you mean you're lacking cornering???Clarify...? the G is very balanced.
