james are you saying the AC isnt working???

The AC compressor isnt supposed to turn on and off, unless its cold out (say around 40).. it stays on all the time...

told the mechanic about the variable rate compressor he still thinks that compressor is the problem he is taking my car wed or thurs this week to check it out

unless anyone has the correct answer i have to wait

bty fully charged and stuffff like that

Well there is no reason for the compressor to cycle unless it neccessary. Can you give more info? Like gauge reading and possible visual inspection of lines, compressor, condenser, receiver?

my aux. fan never seems to turn on, was looking at robs post was that his problem?? i swapped around relays and they all work

James i would think that if your aux fan didnt come on, it would cool fine at highway speeds...... which as you told me it does not.

mine does cool at highway speeds 99% of the time....but one time it never ever cooled all the way home on my 15 mile mostly 40+mph interestate drive. I was like....ahh crap, the damn thing really gave out now but then the next morning it worked perfectly. James...I will take the car into the shop early next week when I return to see what they say.

MY mechanic saved me $600.00 The problem w/my compressor was an internal valve that was not opening properly he hot wired the switch to stay open and the air cranks now (for now?) and the compressor is running quietly again. My total bill was $125.00 for the evac and recharge
