so I had it towed to my mechanic. We both initially thought it was a fuel issue, so he replaced the fuel filter, put a pressure gauge on it, went for a spin, fuel pressure was good.
So then he hooked up his fancy snap-on diagnostic computer, and after another hour or so, figured it was the Cam Sensor. He took the cam sensor apart, cleaned it out, found a metal shaving or something in there, put it back together, cleaned some corrosion on the wire to the sensor, and now it runs fine.
So, if you go to start your car, and it feels like its barely getting fuel, sputtering, dying, etc, check out your cam sensor.
that is all.
