I took it to a mechanic and he didn't show any codes during the diagnostic. He drove it and it didn't cut off on him (of course it didn't!)
My cousin says my EGR valve is clogged and my research says it could also be the MAF.
Infiniti mechanics or I30 owners who have had this problem fixed, please help me identify EXACTLY what it is. Thanks.
Welcome to NICO.
Given the symptoms and no trouble code, not even a certified Infiniti technician will know what EXACTLY is the problem with your car.
What was done in the tune up? Did they set the correct Idle speed and Ignition timing? Were the plugs replaced.
When the fuel filter was replaced, did you get a chance to observe the color of the fuel? You may have water or even corrosion in your fuel tank (yellow/orange fuel color). Did you check the fuel pressure (43 PSI with engine OFF, Ignition ON and 34 PSI with engine running)?
Better clean the MAF sensor and throttle body and check for any vacuum leak. Verify if the EGR valve is working.
