So I've got this weird zoning rule that won't let me enclose my carport and turn it in to a garage. However, here around DC it gets pretty cold. I wanted to find a way to do my 60K service, and this did the trick. Gave me a warm(er) work area and a place to stack the parts outside of the elements.

It was a Coleman 6-man tent I found on Amazon. It sells for $130, but it said "buy used for $95". I figured I was going to drive a car in to it, so I didn't care if it was used/dirty. Well, apparently 'used' means someone bought it but never opened it - it was clear this tent had never been set up. I just cut a large hole in one side and drove right in. I drove in too far the first time and couldn't get the jack stands under (no side access, really). I have a Buddy tent heater ($90) for it as well, but haven't needed to turn it on yet. I'll probably take it down when the job is done, but I'm tempted to leave it up for other winter repairs.

I always try to buy "used" on Amazon if the item is being sold by Amazon Warehouse. You get new stuff that was returned or imperfect packaging material. Price is always good and you have the same return privileges as the full-price merchandise.
