Well I have observed the site for about a year now and seen alot of your guys builds and they all look top notch.Thought I'd join in with a thread showing the progress of my own car on it's journey from when i bought it 4 years ago to now.

I bought her in 2003 95 Base Model Auto with 68K miles on it.Never seen a winter.

This is the earliest pic I can find.

Nakayama Triton 6 wheels...poor offsets Drop Zone 1.8" Lowering springsKYB AGX StrutsBrembo Drilled Slotted RotorsStainless Braided Brake LinesKA24DE AutoCold AirMegan Racing 3" CatbackHigh flow downpipeUnothodox Crank PulleyRactive WiresAdjustable Toe ArmsAdjustable Camber ArmsToyo Proxes FZ4 Rubber

She was how can I say a work in progress lol

Shortly after added some adjustable traction bars and polyurethane bushings up front.

Got me some 5Zigen FNO1R-C's 17x9 +20 down back and 17x8 +35 up front with some 10mm wheel spacers.

Had some S14 Sideskirts,Kouki Rear Bumper and Greddy Front Lip I was debating putting on for awile.

Lil pic back then without the lip kit.Liked it so much I decided against the kouki rear bumper and sideskirts.

Had to have some Kouki Tails, not cause their cool but they look better IMO.Also thought a flat black 240sx logo looked better too.

So I had a little plan which involved removing most of the front end components.

So if you squint and ignore the rubber gloves on the sides you can almost see something there hehehe.

Quick sideshot of her

So after all that cutting and bracket building there had to be a reason for it.

So in prep to have the motor in I did a few things most of you would do.

Timing BeltIdler tensionerWater PumpRear main SealMachined FlywheelXTD Stage 3 ClutchAlmost ever hose on the motor replacedNew Spark PlugsAll New Belts...oh wait I only used 1...:S hehehe

So also while I was waiting for a good weekend to do the swap i did a couple more upgrades

First was a Tanabe Rear Sway Bar and Poly Endlink Bushings

I was very impressed with the quality of Tanabes stuff and it didn't break the bank.

Next on the list was Coilovers.I picked D2 Cause they were reasonable, had camber plates, had good rep, were rebuildable and yes they were purple lol.

The time had come...out with the old in with the New...

No pictures of the motor going in the car...whoops too much beer and work to take pictures...:S Oh well heres one of it in the car.

Mounted an HKS SSQV BOV for that JDTYTE Whoosh noise.

Decided to remove the spare tire....trunk liners and rear seat for some good ol weight reduction.

I'm gonna enclose it in something lightweight here very soon.

So I had a few wiring issues as any DIY RB swap has however it was very driveable for about a year no real hicups to speak of,but the wiring was botched...I had no drivability issues but more safety issues due to the fuel pump running constantly.I also hideously poor gas milage.Needless to say the cold weather was over and for 2007 we were gonna ge ther wired right and do a few upgrades in the process.

First thing I did was swap the stock Turbo For a custom built and Borred RB25 Turbo with a GT2871R cartridge good for 24psi.

So what I have a few extra harnesses.....

I totally re-fitted a more mint harness and began the re-wiring of the car...Only to find after lots of trouble shooting my ecu was bad.So while I had to get a replacement ecu I thought why not have Carl H tune it for me and get a Z32 Mafs and Innovate Wideband to go with.

550cc injectors.....

Turns out not only are the plugs for the rb wrong for the 550cc injectors...it appears that they are possibly RX-7 injectors which means that resistor box I wired in is comming out.

This is how she sits right now...well sort of I got alot more done today I haven't snapped pics of yet.

This week i will get the proper plugs for my injectors and a good multimeter to test the resistence on my injectors...if the resistor has to come out it will be before the weekend.

I will update again shortly and I should have some numbers for this beast soon....should work nice at 17psi...

Plans for winter are Helical LSD,Methanol Injection,GNX Coil Upgrade,J30 Igntor,Powersteering re-fit,rebuild the D2's,Griffin Rad,Nismo Thermostat,Radiator Cooling shroud,Water Wetter,and Spec Stage 3 Clutch......if it doesn't hold...dont worry guys I have a spare block and that update will be to follow.

Next season i'm gonna drive her and enjoy,Then shes gonna get some cosmetics and some other strength upgrades ie:crank collar, oil pump, arp studs, etc. etc.

Thanks for the input guys and your very right...when the paint and bodywork gets done I plan on cleaning up the harnesses, cut some of the holes I made for piping perfect and weatherstrip them,re-spray the engine bay,Clean up alot of hoses and wires. Also I plan on flat blacking the rocker covers, block, ceramic the turbo, possibly a new manifold,Intake mani is comming my way as well and once I do that I think I will run all new IC piping and weld it all.

Since this has been my daily driver for the last 4 years and this last month has by far been the longest i went w/o driving it.I'm gonna enjoy next season maybe do a few track days and then buy something newer and do what i want with this...

Thats good that you have plans. Just stick by them and you'll be golden. But I think for the best results it'll be best if you take the motor out again lol and do it that way. For me thats the way I see it. I was somewhat in a rush and didn't care about the looks and all. Now that I pretty much fixed all my issues and onto the looks I decided to pull my motor out again and redo everything. I'll start my overhaul project again in a week or two. Either way man your car looks tits and good luck!
