Well can you tell what you have done to try and start the car up?

And obviously no offense but you haven't tried everything because the car isn't starting.

Have you tried pro help, such as the dealer or a Infiniti specialist near you?

did you ever try going across the solenoid? the clicking you heard could have been from the RELAY, not the solenoid...

Have you also tried wacking the starter, most times when starters go bad they get a worn spot in the armature.

All starters eventually go bad as the brushes wear out and don't make contact with commutator sections.

For sure the blue relay wears out years before that and the contacts in the column lock.

For 15 years there has been a known sequence of events and components that get changed depending on number of cranks and crank frequency and ambient temperature.

The starter circuit is 99% IDENTICAL to every other vehicle made [JP, EU, USA] in that year.....................the only variance is the alarm relay. Why using a 12+ jumper wire to solenoid is the second thing you do after checking battery condition.

Always conduct a precise series of diagnosis step is the major thing you learn in repair college!

yea that's one thing had in mind this whole time and didn't want to do, but my only choice now. if that's the case then i may just make a push-button start.

and if that doesn't work then i'll just push it down to my local gas station/autorepair shop and have them do a diagnostic test and see from there

oh can't believe i didn't mention this but its not the starter, i have an extra great condition starter that i put on and another used one handy L.O.L.
