I now have 200,058 miles on my J30T, and it still has the original engine and transmission which are both still running fine. The shocks and struts are shot, but I don't want to spend a thousand dollars to replace them which would be half the market value of the car. I also have the usual driver's side door lock problems which means I have to lock and unlock the door with the key, and the usual dashboard dimmer problem. But the moonroof and power widows and power seats all still work good. The only problems I have had with the engine in the last 23,000 miles were one fna belt and one rubber radiator hose. I have never had a problem with the transmission, and the only time the engine wouldn't start is one time when my daughter left the lights on and run the battery down. The battery itself is seven years old and still starts the car fine. The paint on the car still is in exceptional shape even though I have been parking the car outside for the last six years. I do have a very slow leak in the power steering rack which means I have to add maybe a third of a cup of power steering fluid every few months, but I figure this is the same as doing a fluid exchange. I also had to turn the front rotors and install new front Bendix ceramic brake pads about two months ago. Other than putting two new tires on and changing the oil and transmission fluid the problems and maintenance I mentioned have been my only repair and maintenance expenses. Oh, forgot one other thing, new wiper blades. So I haven't had any major repairs needed on this car, and from the records the previous owner gave me he didn't have any major problems either. This is such a good reliable car, and the HICAS four wheel steering makes it handle great on turns.
Wonder how many other readers of this board are in the 200,000 mile club, and have their cars been as trouble free as mine? :wavey:

Congrats :dance

My car is miles unknown as the odometer quit at 49,900, other known problems when we got it were sunroof motor, LR window regulator, power steering rack leak, front strut arm bushings and a bad rr strut(my fault), nothing else

The car has run like clockwork since being saved from the crusher and re-purposed as a endurance race car, logging 52 hrs (2900 race miles) at full speed with no mechanical issues aside from some toasted brake rotors,we are still using the same steering rack which stops leaking when it comes down to race day.
There is another j30 being run in the series that reports the same reliability, both of us have attended 3 events(not at the same time) and have scored top 10 finishes every time out of fields from 35 to 120 cars each time out.

I was buying parts(rear struts) from a junkyard j30 with 326,000 miles, it wasn't even dead yet , well until the cash for clunkers mix was poured into it so the owner could get credit for his new car :facepalm2

Congrats, I've got 220k on my 93.... still runs great. I think you should do the shocks & struts, show the car some love for the many miles of service. Just me, tho.
