hello everybody.I'm new here, great site! I have had all six injectors replaced after #1 went bad. Six iridium plugs installed, new ecm, and the car still runs rough (the same). The mech still has it and he's going to run more extensive diagnostics to get to the bottom of this nightmare. does anyone have some further suggestions? I'd really appreciate the feedback. Thank you all in advance! Thanks for reading this post!

Yeah even a bad ground could cause it to run rough. There are a ZILLION things that could be wrong with it.

Let's list a few:1) Bad sensor ANYWHERE2) Faulty/loose/disconnected wiring3) Failing fuel pump4) Failing fuel pump regulator module5) Clogged fuel filter6) Bad ignition coil7) Bad fuel pressure regulator8) Bad ECU9) Dirty MAF10) Disconnected/cracked vacuum line11) Timming off12) Defective new injector13) Bad Fuel14) Incorrect idle adjustment

I just woke up so I really can't think of much else

I believe you forgot to add a vacuum leak to the list

Hey get this,Yeah, flybye, you were right. I appreciated that list btw.I called a new infiniti dealer in the area and told them my plight. they told me to get the car towed to their facility. They quoted me a fix, the original mechs told me I could take my car, no charge, no hard feelings. Infiniti tells me they will have the car up and running asap. btw, their quote is just about the same as the previous mechs (local garage) which tells me dealerships aren't so bad after all. I'll knock on wood and keep you posted. Thanks again for the help...

Here's the deal,Infiniti doesn't make this ecm anymore. Should I go recal chips, or try another salvage ecm that didn't work?zer...33080#

Did the faulty injector fix the problem?

Hey,Infiniti told me they didn't think the injectors were ever bad. They think it was a faulty ecm. I have serious front suspension problems now. The front end is too low to even drive. I'm not sure exactly what I need. When it rains it pours.

Sorry about that, did they try to repair the faulty ECM?

Really awful to hear the news about the front suspension, did the problem happen all of sudden?

I would start up a thread, I'm sure someone will help you narrow down the culprit in a day or so

Just think, when this is all set, you'll be firing up your J30, enjoying the smooth ride, and the BOSE system (it'll all be worth it)

Thanks for the help. I bought a salvage ecm and they put it in but could not get any diagnostic reads from it. They told me I needed a new one. They couldn't find one and were told they don't make them anymore. So that's were I am now. this car's in great shape otherwise, 108,000 and super clean. i haven't tried cleaning the maf yet because now I have this suspension (front) problem that came out of no where with no warning.I don't know if the maf has ever been cleaned, I've never done it in 6 yrs, air-filter has been done on a regular basis though.

Hey Getmo!* I've been off-line the past month after some goof finally got through with that'my doom' virus that was going around. There's a warm place in hell for those ***holes.Anywayz. You're right: THIS IS A GREAT WEBSITE WITH KOOL MEMBERS!Good to hear another 93 J30t had the same problem I had!I read ALL of the posts, or replies, and everyone could've been the probelm. With mine, it turned out much simpler and right in front of my head before the 'He-lots' (a lot of heels) took advantage of me and my wallet: I had read the owner's manual and was trying to test the milage per 10 gallons, when I drove 50 miles to a VA hospital like a breeze at half a tank. By the time I returned to the parking lot and cranked it up: it was like the engine was running on 5 cyclinders! I recalled that the past fillup, I had filled the first half with regular, second half with premium--high octane. 'Trying to save some bucks. I drove back home the 50 miles and filled up with premium--full tank, then I bought a small bottle of 'octane booster' like they use in race cars. I let the car sit over night. Next day; I'm breezing again--purring on down the highways of life with the sun roof drawn back, and Stevie Ray on the Pioneer. The truth: you gotta put at least above 91 octane in 93-95 J30, and J30ts. It's the same engine as the 300 ZX, ya know?Try that. I agree with the one poster and the dealer: you likely never needed anything but a great tank of gasoline to begin with.Happy J-driveing.Jasonsos
