my 93 j goes no where until 2 k

first id like to say hi to everyone im new to this side of the boards i have a ka-t 240sx.i recently purchased a clean 1993 j30 cheap but with a a few issues.That i will list to make it easier.i like the car that is why in trying to keep it

1. when accelerating from a complete stop the car doesnt want to move it bogs until it get to 2000rpm then it will go like normal

2. the left headlight works when it wants too thinking bout the headlight realy but its only one not both.

3. it has a miss i changed three coils its still there i put new plugs the day after i bought the car.now im leaning toward the injector

4. when i turn on the key nothing lights up no dash no lights i have to start it and rev it to 3k then the car acts normal (lights come on and instruments work).so wat i did was run a a wire from positive terminal to the bolt in the fuse box

thing done so far:new plugs,new coolant temp sensor,new fuel filter,two bottles of lucas injector cleaner and nothing but premium gas

first things first check the codes...thers a sticky on it...the answer to your first question in my opinion sounds like the knock sensor...most people bypass it b/c its easier than replacing...secondly the headlight relays are known to malfunction if they havent already been replaced...thirdly start the car and disconnect each coil one by one to locate the bad cylinder...then when you find the miss swap that coil for a known good coil(like the new ones you mentioned) and if it still does that its the injector...if you do end up replacing an injector you might as well do the knock sensor too b/c youre pretty much almost there...lastly i personally dont have answer about your electric issues that could be a lot of things...good luck and remember to check your codes...that always helps narrow down things...

Headlights sound like a relay even if its only one side. If the car is still missing after replacing coils i would bet it is an injector problem. and does the battery hold charge because the lights not comming on sounds like an electrical problem.

just an update checked the codes and 55 was the only code that came up which means all good i think.i ordered a fuel pump from ebay (dont worry i ordered a walbro for a 240sx )i took the sending unit out(boy was it dirty) and the look visually the same. im waiting on that but i go away tommorrow to boston for training for a week so by the time i get back ill have all the parts i ordered fuel pump,ignitor,hopefully headlight relay and try to install the upper intake harness.if the fuel pump doesnt fix the prob then its on to the knock sensor.if that also isnt it then inj from the 240sx i hav lying around.if that doesnt fix the problem then im gonna sell it battery hold charge fine starts the car everytime no problem.headlight relay im gonna order it this week when i get my check

As for the headlight I found a used relay on a salvage car (slightly newer) near me and that worked great.

While I was at it I grabbed the dash light control, but you can also take that apart and clean it. I've cleaned the old one and replaced it and both options worked well.
