My 93 240sx hatchback build thread

My first ever build thread... Actually my first ever forum post.

Ok so I bought this 240 for $1600. It is not in "good" shape but it runs.. Kind of. When I checked it out I knew it needed work but I was kind of in a hurry looking because I needed to get to work. After buying it and getting it home I got to see what I really got myself into. I don't know much about nissans but I know oil that doesn't even reach the "Low" mark on a dipstick is not good. So that pretty much sets the theme for the whole car. I'll post pictures if someone would let me know how. Thanks!

Let me start this off by letting you know I'm not complaining about this stuff! I'm just putting my entire 240 experience into the thread good and bad for the people who like to read them and keep up with the progress.
Ok here it is from the front it's on adjustable coil overs and pretty much the whole car is a primer blue. Not matte blue or flat blue. It's like primer.

I'll start with the hood it's custom if you couldn't tell haha. It serves a good purpose but it looks like a rushed last minute thing. (I'll probably keep it to use while drifting.)


Moving on you will notice the passenger door opens enough to get in comfortably but not all the way and on the outside has a separation.

Some home-rolled fenders that are home to a little rust that I can probably sand off.

Now I can see through the wheel there is some sort of camber devise (I think that's what it is) but one back wheel seems flat and the other has some negative camber.

Alright I need wise words. I was just out driving around the block when the gauge cluster, windows, horn, and aftermarket fan stopped working. I turned the car off and popped the hood and hit the horn again and it sounded like a relay was buzzing? After that I got back in the car and started it up with no issues (headlights never stopped working either so it couldn't be battery) and I revved it and everything snapped back on! Has anyone experienced this or know what the problem is? I looked at the wiring above the front driver wheel and the harness is worn.


Could this be the issue? Any help is much appreciated.
