My 92 Q45 smells like eggs and gas

My 92 Q45 smells like eggs and gas when i drive it and makes a strange noise when I reach 45 mph. Any ideas on what could be going wrong. I have a 120,000 miles on it. Is this common?

No, but we really don't know much about the "Infinity" Q45 model here.

In case you are actually driving a G50, how about a little maintenance history? Do you use Tier 1 Premium grade gasoline only?

I take it you don't know much about cars, well you have two choices: learn or find another car.

But I would have to say that your running rich, do you see any black smoke at wide open throttle?

If so then you need to check the MAF connector, board and screen and clean all three if necessary.

Rotten egg smell is usually a sign of a bad catalytic converter. A stinky cat may also be a sign of other underlying issues.

Sounds like you need a BG exhaust flush machine service !!!! Dont just drain and fill the exhaust, or use Andys method!!!!!

When the ethanol mixture gets raised to 15% your exhaust will smell like burnt corn muffins.

It could be your vapor canister.
