I bought my 240 about 6 months ago as my B14 was nearing the end at 180,000 miles. I ended buying it for $2,600 with some goodies thrown in. The paint is in near perfect shape, 130,000 miles.

Replaced the front brake pads, and it was inspected.

I replaced the water pump and thermostat last weekend. The moron that installed it last used too much liquid gasket and look what happened. It got twisted up in the propellar shaft!

Now it's happy

I just got my hatch resprayed...totally turned me off from any ideas of repainting. The best paint job is the factory paint.

repairs

I have enough repairs to keep me busy for a while, I will only start modding when the car runs great.

In fact, I was to get a less open exhaust, since I plan on running near stock engine, the guy that had it before me put on a straight pipe, no resonator, straight thru muffler. thing is loud as F, and it's only a KA...not that fast. No car should be louder than it fastness....ness.

But yeah, I am swapping internals of a VLSD soon, then I might need transmission work/replacement since it sounds like the input shaft bearning is going.

SHyt, where should I start?...the paint on the side of my bumber is peeling, the paint is super thin on one of my fenders, there's overspray on my healights and tailights (primer) and there's a friggin' LEAF IMPRINT on my left quarter panel. I'm putting all the blame on the guy that did it and he's going to fix it but like I sayed, it totally turned me off from resprays. I also needed body work (spoiler holes, road wear) but that part was excellent. I guess he just sucks a paiting.

Sounds good. My car was given a complete tune up before it was sold to me but I'm just going over stuff making sure I see that nothing will suprise me on the road. I'm on the process of changing my shocks and springs so while I'm at I re-rebuilt my brakes and cleaned up my undercarriage a bit only to find out that I'm going to need a new rear main seal for my transmission in the next couple of weeks. Good luck with the exhaust and enjoy the car.

It was in a paint booth but he put it outside after he painted it because he was so busy. The car was there for 2 1/2 months and he painted it in two days. I guess he spent all the time on the body work.

K-1, sorry for hijacking your thread.

The rust seems to be only on the surface, but I will try to get it taken care of ASAP...

rust doesn't look that bad. You might really want to check the drivers side frame rail, about where your feet are. Check for rust holes or cracks from the rust.

Also that maxima in the backround looks very similar to mine.
