Here's a pic of the 1990 Q I purchased for $800.00 a few months ago. When I got the car, it was already wrecked on the back left door, front fenders and it had ugly gray interior. the paints clear coat was also pealing. I went to pick-a-part and purchased a black rear door. Then I purchased a 91 Q for $300.00 and completely stripped the interior(minus some misc..parts), and replaced the wrecked door(notice the color. Now it has burgundy and black leather interior with burgundy accents. I also purchased a cable so the factory cd changer works with my dvd radio. I installed a tv-dvd indash radio with mirror tv, 1 gen xbox(Halo edition) all bose stock speakers still play nice, 1600 watt perfomace teknique amp, 2 15" kicker cvrs, notice the back of the front seat i added Jaguar rear seat tables, and I took the stock cd changer from the other 91 Q I bought. I plan on doing the body work and painting it back the burgundy metallic it was, but for now i primmed it. Plz let me know what you think...

Wow, that needs a lot of tlc to bring back- probably more cost efficient to start with a cleaner example, given the cost of restoration vs cost of acquiring a cosmetically fine Q.

I find it offensive that you think the grey interior on a 1990-1992 Q45 is ugly. If anything its the most durable yet damn good looking, especially on a black Q45.

But thats one dead Q you have there.

Looks like it's "taken a lickin' and keeps on tickin'" You're a paint job and some body work away from a pretty decent looking Q.

If you really want to show your commendable effort, use a real camera and not a phone camera.

Good luck!

1. If your steering wheel turns like butter on dry ground.

2. Your engine idles smooth enough not to be heard at idle never mind even felt running.

3. Your transmission shifts so smooth that the only way to tell what gear you in is to look at the tach.

3. all the suspension is brand new.

If the top three apply to you then by all means keep the car, if not you will hate seeing it in the shape it is if you truly love it. Trust me I know.

Did the Xbox and stroller come with the car?

But I do like the color of the trunk and the spoiler.

Sorry, I was just looking at the quality of the pictures.

Maybe you should try to focus and hold still?

and here is the magic question that I'm surprised that NO ONE asked you...have you done the chain guides in that car or do you know if the chain guides have been replaced. If not, then you are wasting money on all of that cosmetic stuff because when the chain guides break, say good bye to your motor. To replace the chain guides with labor alone will be close to $3k.

lol to qship sledgehammer statement.

Like I said I mean no disrespect but you should save up for a paint job done right, its only fitting for such a nice car. No half a** shops like Maaco go to the dealer and see if you can get the original clear coat from Japan. I would hold off on the paint and fix the engine and what ever other mechanical problems you have, Unless you have rust issues.

And also fix those chain guides unless you want to replace that engine. Again I mean no disrespect but it would suck to see yet another Q45 in a junk yard.

Don't paint any rubber such as weather stripping around the door, sun roof, trunk....

Also your hood is messed up.

And if you want to learn a great deal about the car you drive see the link in my signature.

Hood needs to sanded to bare metal before primer to get rid of the "peeling skin" look- otherwise even the best quality paint will look like crap.......its all in the prep work!!!!!

With all the Q45's out there why waist time with painting the hood when after a year it will chip?

Better off finding a new hood from a junk yard because I doubt he will invest in a good paint job.

The previous owner of my car had the hood shocks seize up on him and he needed to find a replacement hood. He got one that was a different color and painted it, now the paint is starting to crack.
