No swaps anytime soon. The L20B motor sounds like shes new. ODO reads 30,298 but i think its well past its limits. Maybe a SR20DET if i can find a non-rusted cab and bed. The truck is a 78 Datsun HL620. Can anyone tell me whats the difference between a PL and HL truck? all i can think of is Passanger and Heavy models.

Not a bad buy for $100 and a half running Sentra(hated giving it up, frist car thing......you all get it)

AHHHHHH Oh my GOD ! !

I had a 78 Datsun truck too. My dad gave it to me when i turned 16. I thought I was the only one. Mine was a yellow king cab with "LIL HUSTLER" written on the rear quarter panel. Its good to see one still being loved. I sold it and bought an 82 280ZX and then my 91 240sx. Yes I am a Nissan kinda guy.

Ive been thinking. Think a 240SX fastback would fit on the frame? Ive got a spare 240SX and the bed/cab are rusty as hell. HL240!

That would look soooooo awsome, keep the front and from the A pillars back a 240 hatch, that would look awsome and be totally unique.

Although i would imagine you would have problems with the 240 being a unibody

Not really.......just take the whole unibody and set it on the frame. Make mounting points for it.
