Lovin the color dude. Metallic charcoal/gray always is a soft spot for me.

The front end pieces, especially the eyebrows will really set that car off.

You should take it to the JCCS next year.

Yeah. I was raped by those type t's. A jetting table I had seen recommended a 57.5 pilot jet for the z22/24, which is what I used for the initial start up and tune. Long story short, I pulled the head twice  , due to oil fouling/inconsistent compression, had the crank ground, put in new rings and bearings and had the head done *should have done all of this in the beginning*. Apparently the pilot jets caused #2(still don't know why it was only #2 even after the rebuild and 215psi on all 4) to "baby"detonate at an idle. It sounded like an exhaust valve seating problem... it was a weird huff kinda deal but never knocked. One seat had already been replaced and I assumed another seat might have come loose so I pulled the head again and took it to the shop. The guy was like naahh brah everything is cool. WTF. Put the 63whatevers in for a pilot, maxed out the accel pump and it runs great  I felt like a huuuuuuge retard for not trying the bigger jets in the first place but the motor was worn and needed a rebuild . I later found out that the type T has a larger pilot air jet than the other mikunis which is probably why it ran lean on 57.5s. Live and learn..... an AFR gauge would have saved me a lot of trouble. :picard:

I was supposed to take my car to JCCS this year but it got stuck in reverse, I still went.

PS. I painted the car in my garage with a gun from harbor freight.

I'm done spending money on this car for now, should have waited until after college to build it anyways. I'm moving out of mommas house and the car will be parked on the streets of socal :frown:
