My ten year old Stillen cambor/caster kit has maxed out in its setting on my 1990 300ZX. My reputable axle shop says that my car is old and its front end alignment cannot be fixed. My car has logged 310,000 miles. Do I have a structural problem that cannot be fixed like my axle says, or do I just need to go to a wheel shop to get bushings replaced? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Too old and can't be aligned sounds to me like they just don't want to work on your car. :bs: Without seeing the car I have no way of knowing but yah bushings probably. Your shocks could be shot. I am somone who has changed shocks and its not somthing I would wish on anyone. A lot of times the nuts on the top of the shocks are siezed meaning you have to cut them off. Then you need a spring compreser the whole thing is just a PIA. But ya does your front end look like its low? even though its never been lowered? That shock sag. Does your car making squeaking noises when you go over bumps? If it has been lowered did you also get adjustable control arms. If you lowered it you need the control arms, and you could need shocks and bushings. You also may have sagging springs.

My advice get some coil overs, or change your shocks and springs. Replace the bushings. If its been lowered get the control arms. The take it to another shop that is reputable and knows what they are doing. This is a common problem on z32s. Very Very common,. :werd:

Yeah if everything is stock and it has 310,000 miles....you definitely need all new bushings all around, I would suggest energy suspension and as BlackWidow suggested coilovers if your wanting or needing to replace your shocks. This does bring along other complications, meaning more adjustable aftermarket parts to keep things in alignment but it is up to you.
