Hello I'm Drew and I recently got my 300ZX NON TURBO and I was informed that the door locks simply don't work. The next day the cars alarm unexpectedly goes off, all I can do now is unplugg the battery. I recently made an account here because I was told that you guys were the best forum so here I am. This problem seems vary vary minor. I'm hoping all of you can help me in any way possible.

Factory alarm or aftermarket alarm?

If it's factory, the door switch sensors have probably failed or the hood switch sensor has failed. These will tell the factory alarm brain somone is opening your doors when they should be locked. Then it will go into full alarm. You need to test each switch to make sure it's working properly when open/closed.

Meanwhile, you can disconnect the factory alarm; it's a 2 x 2 inch box on th etop right of the ECU, behind a cross bar. You need to unscrew 2 bolts to remove it, then unplug. With TWS unplugged, you can check the sensors - just look in the FSM

If your door switches work you can shut off the alarm by turning the keys on either door as if to unlock it. This only works on my passenger door. good luck

well, i agree with everyone elses responces, For me it was my trunk latch. It kept going off so i just unpluged the switch rather than the whole battery. And i heard that this isnt the best the Twinturbo.net is, then again i can't figure out how to use that forum so This one is user friendly.
