I just got a 1980 280zx. I was going part it out but the car is real clean. So im keeping it! It was sitting for about 7 or so years i got it running but it pops alot from the AFM it also has problems starting I have to use a quick start spray after the first start it gets going.

I did some research on the AFM and found out its a common problem. I want to do a AFM to Z31 converion like i did on my 240zT. I did not find much on 280zxN/A MAF conversions. Has it been done most likely. Whats my best route to take?

Ok so I Have fuel problem I’m not getting constant fuel. My fuel pressure drops and rises randomly. What should the fuel pressure be at?

xfperez05, I might not have the best explanation for you but an AFM stands for Air Flow Meter which reads the flow of air by an old style method which uses a flap that opens and close do to air flow. MAF stands for Mass Air Flow which is the (newer) style sensor this also read the flow of air but by another method with no flap which I think is better for throttle response like I said "I think" just my opinion. The AFM is much larger than the MAF. Hope I was of some help.
