My 240sx

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

3 inch? My Turbo car ran 3 inch with no issue of restrictive flow. Also Im running factory TB isnt it only like 2 3/4 inch actually Butterfly Plate size?

The inside of your TB is 3.0732 inches on the 78MM TB, The outer dimesion is what you should be using.

See your 90 thats the size you should be using

What difference does it make if you have a large intake pipe if the most restrictive part of the intake is 3 inches? I could have a 40 inch intake and it wouldnt make a difference because the TB plate is only 3 inch.

on my old taurus SHO, the throttle body might have been 65mm or smaller.......

but going to an 80mm MAF lessens restriction and is good for 5-10hp

Im saying the plate is larger then 3.00 its approx 3.07. And it appears you have a ruducer on a reducer there. Its just an observation.

Did you modifiy your stock TB to open the wide open throttle stop? The F body LS which it appears you have a notch on the left side that only allows the TB to open 95 percent.

But I upgraded to the fast 90MM intake, and 100MM TB and MAF and upgraded the rails and injectors and had her retuned. A well worth investment.

a larger MAF just allows you to maximize the air already being taken in. Just because its 80 mm doesnt mean it flows more in total just means it will maximize the 65mm flow ratings because it can flow more overall.

Also I will probably invest in a 90mm TB. Also all I have is 1 reducer from 3 3/4 to 3.

Well went to the dyno and we tried MAF no pipe and Pipe and the difference was 4 HP more with the Pipe and Filter on. So I guess like I said the smallest point of the intake will be the limiting factor.

390 whp and 370 ft lb tq

compression is a bit weak so we figure on a fresh motor about 420-430 whp

Blown,I have the exact same car as you. I am about to start the LS1 swap (working on my motor). I am probably going to add a cam and possibly a pro-charger. Would be some serious HP. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions here and there regarding the swap?

I asked the same question in the value of 240 with LS1 thread, but it seems to have faded away. Thanks!

No feel free to. Just PM me or email me [email protected]

Pro Charged will be the best bet but it might cause some clearance issues with the drivers side frame rail since it mounts the alternator out wider. The magna charger is an easier install but your kind of limited on boost. Although 6 psi will make close to 550-600 whp. The only issues with the Magna is hood clearance. It requires some spacing down of the cross-member. Only 1/2 inch though.

Blown240sx, what tire specs/size do you have to help put down all 400+ horses?

Ive got a pretty soft suspension so I dont spin that much. 2nd gear is useless but 3rd I can get traction.

As of right now Im running 245/45/17 in the rear but Im hoping soon to have a set of Nitto 555R DR 275/40/17
