Car: 1992 Nissan 240SX Hatch

Post

Hello everyone my name is Tony and I have a 1992 Nissan 240sx hatch. I bought it as a shell, it was completely stripped no differential, hood, seats, dash, console, master cylinders, and clutch pedal. The reason I bought this car was to save it and build a drift car/second daily driver. This thread will include a step by step guide on how to build a drift car and swap am RB Series Engine into a s13.

I got my shell for $275.00.Image

after I put the fenders and pignose on they came with the car.Image

after I removed the nasty wiring harness.

after I cut out the fender wells. Image

After I bought my hood $40.00Image

After I removed the panel bond and welded the seems together to reinforce the front of the car. Image

I bought s13 seats for $40.00. im going this weekend to buy an r32 front clip and rear subframe. the clip is a gtst so this will also help me with a rb20, trans, driveshaft, VLSD, 5lug conversion and the wonderful big brake conversion. once I get the clip and subframe ill be updating this and ordering more parts. will update this weekend thanks for looking.

2/27/14 update

So today i went to phx to pick up my r32 front clip and rear subframe. i spent 1800.00 on the two things and the dude through in some bonus stuff. The clip has 49000 kilometers which is 30000 miles on the clip it is all original even came with the original key and the owners manual which is sweet but i cant read it. here it is.
also if any of you guys want or know anyone that wants the head light marker lights fog lights bumper and rhd stuff like power steering rack dash master cylinders lmk they are up for sale and i can ship for the right price.

Welcome to NICO! I fixed your image links so they show directly in your post instead of having the viewers click through to them. In the future, just copy the direct link from photo bucket. You can get the direct link from clicking the picture's "get links" option when you're in album view, or it's next to your image when you're at the image's page. Then all you have to do is paste it in between IMG tags here on NICO and you're golden. If you're unsure of how to use IMG tags, you can see how I did it in your post by editing it, or Photobucket includes an IMG link option. I usually don't use it because it adds annoying hyperlinks to your images.

As far as your build, looks like you have a solid plan, which is the best thing to have. You'll need a custom driveshaft as I believe the R32 driveshaft is the incorrect length to fit in an S-chassis. Hopefully, your donor car will not have HICAS, which will make it easier to use the aluminum uprights as all you'd need at that point is some coilovers with Z32 style fork mounts on the shocks for the rear.

ALso, check Tofubadguy's awesome R32 into an S13 build if you want some great inspiration.
