I have owned my 240sx for a few years now and I have loved it. With 186,000 miles under her belt, she started to act up. I had lots of little things start to go. It got to the point where i couldn't trust it reliably for day to day driving. So I went out and bought a brand new Honda Element (I needed more hauling capacity anyways). So now the 240sx project begins. She is a stock '93 240sx SE Coupe fully loaded. Right now its only major problem is the front breaks needs replacing. I'm trying to come up with a list of the order things will be upgraded. I eventually want to upgrade the engine to an RB25, do a Silvia front end swap, bigger wheels, upgraded suspension, frame stiffening, brake upgrades, new paint job, etc. What are some suggestions to do first that will be able to. I haven't spent much time reading into specific brands. First, I'm wondering if it would be a good Idea to upgrade the brakes right now or just get some cheap stock replacements to fix it temporarily. What brands should I look at for most performance per dollar. This will be driven every now and then, maybe once or twice a week at most and I will still be driving it for now to keep the miles off of the Element. Please help me out with this stuff. I have used the search but I haven't found anything that really helps.

thanks

If you do the Z brake conversion you might want to concider 5 lug conversion too.

If I do the 5 lug conversion, would I be able to fit skyline wheels on my 240, or are they too large/wrong offset? Do I buy the 300z brakes new/refurb or pull them at a junk yard? If I can buy them new, where is a good place to get all of the pieces I need?
