My 240 sounds like a Subie

You know how subie's sound with an aftermarket exhaust.. well one day my 240 was smoking pretty bad.. then stopped smoking. drove it for awhile, minor smoke here and there.. get home from my friends house park the car, wake up the next morning start her up and she sounds like a subie.. no loss of power at all just a weird ****ing sound.. my brother said i probably burnt a valve; you guys have any ideas??

umm when my car was running on 3 cyls it sounded just like a subie. my wiring was not firing my first cyl.
