my 240 kicks me out of first gear everytime i need some help

everytime i drive my 240 it always kicks me out of first gear and goes to neutral i was wondering if anyone here can help me out as to telling me what the problem may be. thanx

have you checked your shifter bushings? you know the one on the end of the shifter and the one holding the shifter in? if those aren't bad then you have internal transmission issues and will need to rebuild/replace
