My 240 acceleration!

Car: 1990 Nissan 240sx

I just bought a 1990 240sx w/ an sr20det swap. the car runs fine but the only problem is that when i step on the gas fully it doesnt let me go fast, but when i build up and accelerate slow it lets me go fast. what can the problem be?
