I purchased my 2010 G37x brand new with 10 miles on it. After 3 years I still love my car! the G has handled all my abuse in stride and still looks good doing it. This car has never broken down once since I've owned it.

major maintenance: (all done by me, except radiator flush)

@~30k radiator fluid flush

@~60k rear diff fluid (switched to synthetic), front diff fluid (switched to synthetic), AWD transfer case fluid (went from Matic J to S), warranty work for rear drive shaft

@~75k changed spark plugs

@~85k changed serpentine belt

oil changed with synthetic every 5000 miles (that's ~21 oil changes)

replaced stock brake pads/rotors after about 5 months of owning the G SMH (the non sport stock brakes couldn't handle me), but only on second set aftermarket brakes/rotors.

replaced stock tires after about 9 months of owning the G SMH (those RS-A are loud and couldn't handle me) Since then I'm on third set of aftermarket tires. I've run one set P-Zero Nero and on my second set of Nitto Motivo tires. I immediately went from 225/55 R17 to 235/55 R17 as the stock tire width is too skinny in my opinion.

Interesting facts about my G37x:

My G was tracked at 1000 miles, and won the V6 all motor class at Atlanta Motor Speedway that same day. my G has seen the track at least 3 times a year.

Its current (2013) fastest 1/4 mile time is 14.1s (only power mod is R2C intake)

My G has been as far south as Key West.

My G has been to Ontario, Canada. (where car was detained in customs for 30 mins, long story lol)

My G's front bumper has been replaced (hit truck tire tread)

I took these pics on the day it turned 100,000 miles old to show how well it has held up to all my driving.

In 2011 my rear bumper got scraped while at a club in Atlanta

my engine bay is still clean... i didn't like the cover on the engine, so I took it off

My 06 held up very well also

Almost all miles on regular 87 octane except for a one month each test of 91 and 93 octane

Traded it in for my 2012 G37S August 31st 2012

OEM brakes replaced at 85k. Still on vehicle when traded in with 3mm left
Never did a major service but changed the oil myself 48 out of 53 oil changes. Never used synthetic.
Plugs replaced at 106k with new belts and a radiator flush
Air filter replaced every 10k miles and cabin filter replaced once a year.
Still had the original clutch, starter, alternator.

Wiring harness replaced by dealer due to air bag warning light issue. That was the only major problem. Had a loaner for three weeks.

I'm very surprised your brakes held up so long... But I'm sure you drive a at different pace from me and never tracked your G. In a year or so my G will be paid off, with its reliability I know I will get my moneys worth from this car. Its going to be hard to not buy another Infiniti product when the time comes to finally get a new car. I'm thinking I'll just keep this car until some major maintenance is needed.
