OK....this thing didn't sell ANYWHERE....no offers, no nothing.......sooooooooo, my buddy and i are thinking about different projects that we can do with this

there is a KA-t choice.....so i figured it would be somewhat legit in this forum

option #1:

Leave the CA18ET in there and prep it for more serious boost....probably looking about 220-240 max on current internals....maybe a good auto-x car and daily but nothing more than that....

option #2:

take my friend tim's old KA24E outta his junked 240 and swap that along with all the electronics and turbo THAT KA....again, probably a very streetable setup...good for some auto-x and maybe drag/drift whatever.....

option #3:

by far the most out there and the most work BUT....it'll be fun should we complete it....

this would involve obtaining a GM supercharged 3.8 liter V6 motor and a Camaro 6-spd transmission....all easily found by one of my GM crazy friends (late 70's 350 bored to 355 with high comp pistons, full race timing kit, corvette heads, race cams, headers and a dual pumper carb, posei rear end with 373 gears, 295/50's on back and 235/50's in front...all in all one of the faster 1985 Chevy Delux C10 pickups around .....and just wait on his Camaro....that's gonna be even nastier by next summer!)

This would probably turn into an almost exclusive drag car if it's done....maybe some fun on the street my buddy thinks this setup could reach into the 600's for HP and maybe more....

so....what do you guys think?

I'm all for people doing things that others aren't doing. However, be careful! I can tell that this car with that engine can be a dangerous combination. With that said, "Get er dun". I would love to see option 3 happen.

I think that option 3 might be a lot of work... but it would be fun, different, and challanging.

I've wondered about different engine options that would fit in the 240sx a lot lately...

Option 3 because it's going to leave people with the WTF look on their face.Besides more hp and torque than the other 2 options by far.

If your thinking about a hybrid engine swap and don't mid using the V6, you may consider the VG30DETT from a Z32. Or if your hung up on the 3.8, snag a turbo buick motorset.

yea...i've more or less settled on a 3.8 for the sake of money...a Z32 TT swap would be nice but much more costly than i dare to get into....besides....GM stuff is really cheap
