The whole BOX is made of fiberglass and wood. It is painted to color match the QX4 (Midnight Metallic Blue).

Im wondering why the photos are not showing cuz it shows the progression of the build up.

damn man, that looks tight... ya too bad i can't see the work in progress pics, cause that part is the most fun :P

i'm lookin at doin the same thing with my 15" DD9015 for the summer, but it'll have to be a massive box (4+ cu.ft)

nice choice on the deck and CDT's, i got the 3-way classics in my doors, but i'm lookin to upgrade the 6.5's to the HD series... how do those things kick? i heard the HD 6.5's have the most midbass outta any component system...

The HD's are definitely awesome drivers..excellent midbass and midrange response..you do need to dampen the doors well to make them perform, but thats part of any "Good" installation tho..

well my doors are built up pretty good, got seperate enclosures for the 4's and 6.5's... dunno if i have enough airspace for the 6.5's, but as of now they can make my air freshener, hanging from the rear view mirror, move pretty good :D

soundstage is right up in your face, midrange just smacks your ears with this setup... i might end up making kicks for the 4's and tweets and just putting the old door panels back on to go with more of a stealth install, but these things took me so long to make so i'm lookin at keepin em for a while :pface

JOhn-

These amps are bullet proof..they are quite old too (At least 10 years old)..Pure POWER, no crossovers or even nice terminals, but they do what they are supposed to do which is AMPLIFY!!

They get pretty warm but not HOT..they dont have any noise issues at all as well...Never shut off on me even after 2 hours of straight playing and most of the time at moderate/high volume.

yea i know (same here system on 2-3 hrs straight)...before i got my system i wasn't sure which amp i should buy. It was between Autotek or HIfonics, than i saw some an Article in maxim (yea maxim!) Ice T has a HIfonics in his 360 modena. so if its good enough for his Ferrari its good enough for me.lol
