My sister had the car and tried to break at an intersection. It wouldn't break. She rolled to a stop and put it in park. Then it proceeded to rev like crazy. The brakes in the front may be worn. Could this affect the ABS?

Depending on how badly worn the brakes are it could effect the ABS. You might have some master cylinder problems as well. Something that definately needs to be checked out. When driving, do you hear any strange noises or squealing sounds? Does the brake pedal feel soft when applying the brakes?

It was constantly squeaking from the front more so when the breaks were applied and this is a new vehicle for me so the breaks may be soft and I just don't realize it.

Get the front pads replaced, have the rotors turned (if they are salvageable) and see if that solve your problems. I would check over the rear brakes as well. Though they tend to wear slower.

We checked the front breaks and rotors and they seemed to be fine. I'll have the back breaks checked. Do you think it's possible to have an electronic fluke that may not happen again?

Incase your still wondering... check to make sure your throttle cable didn't get stuck causing the motor to rev, which would explain why she had trouble stopping, it would be like pushing the breaks and gas at the same time. I'm a 240 guy but came across this post looking for info on the G20. If these use electronic throttles(drive by wire) I'd be very carefula nd check into getting that replaced. Had this happen to me, the cable popped out of the guide while I was tryin to grab second gear. Hope it helps.
