Well I can say I definitely had to change my driving style, It does go in the snow no doubt, but shift patterns and throttle definitely had to be backed WAY off. Turning can be a beotch but I am happy to say that I am confident driving this is the winter and VDC works great. I think if I put actual snow tires on it would be a major help, the tourenzas aren't too great. Sure I wish I had my 4WD Titan for this type of stuff, but all in all she's not too bad.

Yeah, first one for me too today.

Got half way to work, slid about 3 feet on some ice, almost ran into the car in front of me.

That's when I turned around and headed back home bro.

I'm thinking snow tires may be in order.

Hey, sup LBC!!!

haha. I have 5 weeks of vacation saved up, so I can take off a day here or there and no one will get on my back.

I do feel kinda whimpy though.

I will talk to my psychiatrist about that and I'll feel better soon...lol

Oh and we only had about 8 inches so when the 2+ footers hit with lake effect I'll chime back in...right now I am gonna stick with the tourenzas and see if it's worth while changing after the 1st giant snow...I probably won't use 1st gear all winter, lol.

I used to plow my driveway by running back and forth in my Titan.

I bought some Nokian hakkapeliitta 5s and now have no problem driving in snow and it does better then average on ice. I would recommend these tires to anyone out there in winter type conditions.

Yeah, I just did the same...It really hasn't even begin to snow and I am getting sick of it...I love 4 seasons less and less as I get older, and I played hockey and skied growing up. Hell, Blue Knob (yes real name) ski resort (I use resort loosely) was damn near in my back yard.

God looking at those pics I'm getting all sentimntal I miss my Titan...eh until I check my bank statement and realize almost 150-200 per month difference in fuel costs.

LOL, sorry i just have to say it..... If you were half way to work, it would have taken you just as long to go into the office as it would have to go home.....i like that. It made me think of a joke an Englishman in my office told me about the Irishman who tried to swim the English channel, he got tired halfway across and swam back.....lol

Not so... its not like a swim where its the same... The swimmer doesnt look at the return trip... whereas on your way to work.. you have to think... well whats it gonna be like outside in 10 hours... (or 7 if your a banker )

Ive turned around on the way to work many a times....

And yeh we see your titan... are you offering me a ride to work?

Oh yeah, go for it.I run four snow tires (on steel rims) on all three of my Nissans (including my Pathfinder), and it makes a WORLD of difference. Much safer and a much more confident feeling. Even the Sentra will walk through heavy snow no problem.I'm using Goodyear Nordics (Canadian Tire specials) on my cars, and B.F. Goodrich Wintertrac's on my truck.Good luck.

Nice, I actually am not buying the Wii, cause it does get boring...but if you can play with 2-4 al the time its fun, I own a PS3 and an XBOX360 Elite..1080p baby...but nonetheless, PS3 still has ZERO games worth buying ad/or playing....but at least I Have a blu-ray player...but the new XBOX 360 dash ( I got one in Nov 2005) is awesome you can even download old XBOX games...but Wii has the best retro games...uh aren't we supposed to be talking about cars?

Only drove in snow once in my life, and it was for only 10 days. And boy was it scary! Drving from Denver up to the mountains to go boarding and we got caught in the first snowstorm of the year ('97). My car was going all over the place and when braking, the brakes would lock up and I'd slide. Glad I don't have to deal with that where I live, we just get a ton of rain.

For all my northern friends its a sunny 80 degree day here in Austin. I really do miss cold weather, it kinda sucks looking at Christmas trees in shorts and a tee shirt.

And if you knew about the wii... you would know how moms buying it for their kids... get fooled just like you did...

A wii includes 5 games... (i sell it with wii play as well, which is 40, but has 9 games...)....

Wii with 14 games and 2 controllers....I can smell my profits..

Put in about 120 miles today snow covered roads in PA & MD. We rec'd about 5" of snow here. I-81 just North of the MD line was a mess this morning than onto the PA turnpike. Took a rural route home, which meant 20 miles of untouched roads but no traffic. Than back onto truck-congested I-81. The Altima did great, those stock Continentals are pretty decent, certainly as good as the Kuhmo's on my Accord. The auto-stick or whatever Nissan calls it was a bonus on the hilly curvy rural roads, that was a surprise. I have a set of cable-chains in the spare tire cavity for any surprises I might encounter. Never had to put them on my Accord, hoping to keep that streak alive with the Altima.

I ran four snow tires on steel wheels with our '96 Impala SS. That car was an animal in snow with some weight in the trunk and the snow treads. Since buying the 4WD Silverado, that car no longer even gets wet. I did have fun this evening doing donuts with the truck and scaring the wife. Still puts a grin on my face. Here's a shot of the Impala and snow gear. I don't miss dragging those four, 17" tires out of the basement.
