My 1st car...

I'm 15 years old and i was looking for my 1st car and i was just looking for hondas and nissans...i came across one of my friend's friend and he had an s13 hatch in somewhat ok condition...lol...anyways i bought it for $1200 and with a little over 200000 MILES...so here our some pics of it and i'll appreciate any advice u guys throw my way...

dear God please don't wreck it or f around on any normal streets. i'm 16, and i'll admit i do stupid things, but between 11-2 at night on roads that most people don't know exist...

Very clean looking, nice. Like everyone else said though, the headlights need to die, s13's look silly without pop-ups, unless your going silvia on a coupe or something but yours is hatch. Is it 5 speed? 200,000 is a lot but mine has 236000 on it right now on original motor+trans so if you take care of it, it will last. Even if the engine goes soon it looks to be in pretty good shape for $1200. What are your plans for it? With 200,000 a rebuild might be in order soon could rebuild your ka into a new/improved ka-t or get an sr or something.. Just putting that out there. But i would make sure everything is in fine working order first, i.e. brakes, tune-up,rust-removal, preventive maintenance type stuff and some suspension before you went adding power. 240's are ****ing oodles of fun, enjoy, and be careful. Every week theres a wrecked 240 thread on here one day they'll all be gone )=

Anything done to it other than those headlights? With that kind of taste i hope he did stop there.

Is the hood carbon fiber or just painted black? Just curious, i wonder why some people paint there hoods black do they want it to look like carbon fiber or are they going for the two tone? Hard to tell from the pics

im gonna get the stock headlights back soon from the local junkyard...lol...i plan on going ka-t one day but all the car has right now is a no name exhaust and intake..lol...i plan on getting a paint job before i get my license...but the interior does need work for example the front seats are from an integra and im missing the sunroof entirely...but its pretty much original everything including the motor and transmission...

Very clean, you got it on the low also, lucky find. Carbon fiber hood? 200k miles,engines still going to work just maintain it well.

yayay. a 240 with integra seat. Nissan's power combined with Acura comfort, you dont get better than that.

wow sounds alot like me. im 15 and bought a 91 hatch for 1200! mine also had really high mileage but then he rebuilt the engine. when do you get your permit? ill get mine in summer. im stoked to start driving! nice car though. looks clean...but i demand more pics!

Well assuming that the engine will be okay, id get coilovers. Oh, and yeah do something with them headlights.

Actually the hood is just black...lol...nothing much done to the car besides the no name exhaust and intake...o yeah and the hatch has some of those dreaded rust holes that could have come from an extremely large wing...lol

I already know you have heard this before but change them headlights! car looks ok from the front but very small pictures, you should put some more pics up of it goodluck with the car!
